What is Glaucoma?

Glaucoma is caused by an increased pressure in your eyes. This is extremely common in patients who are also diabetic. 

If not treated immediately, a person can and will start to lose peripheral vision quickly and steadily. 

The damage glaucoma causes on your vision can not be reversed, but the best course of action is to prevent vision loss through early detection and early treatment.

Glaucoma is usually treated by lowering the high eye pressure with eyedrops. This is by far the easiest way, but more severe cases may require a mix of eyedrops, medications, laser treatment, or even surgery.
