What is Dry Eye?
Dry eye is a condition that causes the eyes to feel dry, gritty or irritated. It can happen when the eyes don’t have enough tears or when the tears evaporate too quickly.
The symptoms of dry eye can be mild in some people and severe in others. There is no single cause, but rather a combination of factors that can lead to the condition. These factors include genetics, aging, ocular surface disease, systemic diseases such as diabetes, and environmental conditions such as air pollution or wind.
